Case Study: Staffordshire County Council Services

Working with Staffordshire County Council’s recruitment and communications teams, I was asked to create a suite of modern, engaging materials for their “Careers at Staffordshire” campaign. The goal was to showcase the people behind the council — real employees, real stories — through a bold, vibrant visual identity that felt warm, human and rooted in the local community.

To achieve this, I collaborated closely with a local film and photography company who captured a range of high-quality portraits and video interviews. Using this new imagery, I designed an eye-catching brochure built in Adobe InDesign, supported by Photoshop and Illustrator for image treatment, layout refinement and custom graphic elements. The design combines bright colours, clean typography and layered visual shapes to reflect the council’s brand while giving the campaign a fresh, contemporary feel.

This visual approach was then applied consistently across a full set of marketing and event assets — including pull-up banners, an exhibition stand, table display materials and digital graphics to support the campaign films. Every piece was created to work together, ensuring a cohesive look whether the audience encountered the campaign online, in print or at a recruitment event.

The result is a unified collection of recruitment materials that celebrates the people of Staffordshire County Council, strengthens the employer brand and provides a flexible toolkit the team can use across future events and campaigns.
