Case Study: Cottonmount

Cottonmount is a major supplier in the workwear and PPE market, distributing brands such as Xpert Workwear across the UK and Ireland. Supporting a business of this scale requires a strong balance of commercial design, brand consistency and quick-turnaround marketing materials. I worked closely with their team to deliver a wide range of projects across print, retail and digital.

A key part of my role involved designing seasonal catalogues and promotional booklets, including their high-volume sale brochures used by trade distributors. These booklets combine clear product hierarchy, strong offers, and bold visual styling to help drive purchasing decisions. Each layout is carefully built for easy navigation, ensuring customers can find pricing and offers at a glance.

I also supported Cottonmount with packaging development — from shoebox design to product labels and in-store retail displays. This work required a precise understanding of print specifications, brand application and merchandising behaviour, ensuring every item looked consistent on shelves and aligned with the wider Xpert brand identity.

Alongside print, I produced a variety of digital assets for use across their web platforms and promotions. This included graphics for online product launches, display banners and supporting imagery for trade websites, helping strengthen their brand presence in both physical and digital environments.

Across every project, the focus was on durable, practical design that reflects the rugged, reliable nature of the products themselves. The result is a cohesive suite of marketing and retail materials that support Cottonmount’s ongoing sales activity and enhance the visibility of their workwear brands across the trade market.
